Ingredients
- Corn tortilla chips150 g
- Grated cheddar-mozzarella mix1 cup
- Boiled rajma or black beans1/2 cup
- Chopped tomato and onion salsa1/2 cup
- Pickled jalapenos2 tbsp
- Chaat masala1/2 tsp
Method
Build the base
Line a small air-fryer-safe tray with parchment and spread a single, lightly overlapping layer of tortilla chips. Piling them too high leaves the middle cold while the top edges catch and burn.
Layer the toppings
Spoon the rajma or black beans over the chips, then scatter half the cheese so it melts down into the gaps. Add the tomato-onion salsa and jalapenos, then cover with the rest of the cheese.
Season for India
Dust the whole tray lightly with chaat masala for a familiar tangy kick. This small touch lifts the plate from a plain cheesy snack into something that tastes like home.
Air-fry until molten
Slide the tray in and air-fry at 180°C for 7 min until the cheese is fully melted, glossy and just browning at the edges. Eat straight away while the strands still stretch.
