Ingredients
- oats1 cup, rolled
- banana1 large, mashed
- milk1/2 cup
- baking powder1 tsp
- honey1 tbsp
Method
Mix the batter
Mix the oats, mashed banana, milk, baking powder and honey into a thick batter and let it sit for 5 minutes. The rest lets the oats drink in the milk and swell, which gives a softer, more tender bake.
Pour into the tin
Pour the batter into a greased round baking tin that fits your air fryer basket. Greasing well means the bake lifts out clean in one piece instead of sticking and tearing at the base.
Load the basket
Set the tin in the air fryer basket and keep it level so the batter sits evenly. A level tin bakes to the same thickness all over, so the middle sets at the same time as the edges.
Air fry
Air fry at 170°C for 12 min until the top is set and springy and a skewer pushed into the centre comes out clean. Slice into wedges to serve once it has cooled for a minute.
