Ingredients
- egg4
- paneer1/2 cup cubed
- capsicum1/4 cup chopped
- onion1/4 cup chopped
- cheese1/4 cup grated
Method
Beat the eggs
Whisk the eggs with salt and a pinch of pepper until smooth and slightly frothy. Beating in a little air helps the frittata set light and fluffy rather than turning dense and heavy.
Add paneer and veg
Fold in the cubed paneer, chopped capsicum, onion and grated cheese so they spread through the egg. Scattering them evenly means every slice has filling and no plain patch of set egg.
Fill the dish
Pour the mix into a greased oven-safe dish that fits your basket, spreading the paneer evenly. Grease the dish well so the set frittata lifts out clean instead of sticking and breaking apart.
Preheat
Preheat the air fryer to 175°C for 3 minutes so the frittata starts setting from the base up as soon as it goes in. A hot start gives an even cook and stops the bottom staying wet.
Bake
Bake at 175°C for 17 min. The frittata is done when the centre is fully set with no wet egg left and the top is golden. Give the dish a gentle shake, and if the middle no longer wobbles, it is cooked through.
