Ingredients
- rolled oats1.5 cups
- chopped almonds1/3 cup
- honey3 tbsp
- coconut oil2 tbsp, melted
- cinnamon powder1/4 tsp
- salt1 pinch
Method
Mix the oats and nuts
Combine the rolled oats and chopped almonds in a large bowl. Using a big bowl gives you room to toss freely later, so the honey and oil reach every flake instead of clumping in one sticky corner.
Coat evenly
Drizzle the honey and melted coconut oil over the oats, add the cinnamon and salt, and stir until every piece looks glossy. An even coat is what lets the whole tray toast to the same golden colour.
Spread flat
Tip the mixture onto a parchment-lined tray that fits the basket and press it into a flat, even layer. Pressing it down helps the oats bake into crunchy clusters instead of loose, separate flakes.
Air fry to golden
Air fry at 150°C for 12 min, tossing once halfway so the edges do not catch. Pull it out at a deep golden colour, then cool it fully on the tray, where it hardens and crisps into snappable clusters.
