Ingredients

  • apple2, diced
  • rolled oats1 cup
  • milk1/2 cup
  • honey2 tbsp
  • cinnamon powder1/2 tsp
  • chopped pecans2 tbsp

Method

  1. Mix

Combine the diced apple, oats, milk, honey and cinnamon in a bowl and stir well. Let it sit for a few minutes so the oats begin to drink in the milk, which gives the baked cups a soft, tender texture rather than dry.

  2. Portion

Divide the mixture evenly among greased ramekins or muffin cups, pressing it down lightly. Greasing them well means the set cups lift out cleanly, and a gentle press helps them hold together once baked.

  3. Top

Scatter the chopped pecans over the top of each cup and press them in slightly. As they bake in the dry heat the nuts toast and turn fragrant, adding a welcome crunch against the soft oats and apple underneath.

  4. Air Fry

Air fry at 170°C for 16 min until the apples are soft and the tops are set and golden. Let the cups cool for a few minutes before lifting them out, as they firm up as they cool and hold their shape much better.
