Ingredients
- Self-raising flour1.5 cups
- Greek yogurt1/2 cup
- Egg1
- Sugar1/4 cup
- Icing sugar1 cup
- Vanilla extract1 tsp
- Milk1 tbsp
Method
Make a soft dough
Whisk the egg, yogurt, sugar and a splash of vanilla together until smooth. Fold in the self-raising flour just until a soft, slightly sticky dough comes together without overmixing.
Shape the rings
Roll the dough on a floured surface to half an inch thick and stamp out small rounds, then punch a tiny hole in each centre. Re-roll the scraps to use every bit of dough.
Whisk the glaze
Stir the icing sugar with a teaspoon of vanilla and a few drops of milk until you have a thick but pourable glaze. Keep it covered so it does not crust over.
Prep the basket
Line the basket with perforated paper or brush it lightly with oil to stop sticking. Arrange the donuts spaced apart so the hot air can circulate around each ring.
Air-fry then glaze
Air-fry at 175C for 8 minutes until risen and lightly golden on top. Let them cool for two minutes, then dip the tops into the glaze and set on a rack to firm up.
