Ingredients
- salmon2 fillets
- soy sauce2 tbsp
- honey1 tbsp
- ginger1 tsp
- garlic1 clove
- sesame seeds1 tsp
Method
Make the glaze
Whisk the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger and minced garlic into a smooth glaze. The honey helps it turn sticky and glossy in the heat while the ginger and garlic carry deep flavour into the fish.
Coat
Pat the salmon dry and brush both sides with half the glaze. Drying the fillets first lets the glaze grip rather than slide off, so it sets into a shiny coat instead of pooling in the basket.
Air fry
Place the fillets skin-side down in a single layer, then brush on more glaze halfway through. Skin-side down protects the delicate flesh, and a second coat builds a richer, glossier finish.
Serve
Air fry at 180°C for 14 min until the flesh turns opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Scatter the sesame seeds over and serve hot while the glaze is still glossy.
