Ingredients
- bread4 slices cubed
- garlic3 cloves minced
- oil2 tbsp
- dried parsley1 tsp
- salt1/4 tsp
Method
Cube the bread
Cut the bread slices into even bite-size cubes. Keeping them the same size means they toast at one pace, so you get uniform golden croutons rather than some burnt and some still soft.
Make the garlic oil
Mix the oil, minced garlic, dried parsley and salt in a bowl. Blending the garlic into the oil first spreads its flavour evenly and stops loose bits catching and burning in the hot basket.
Coat the bread
Add the bread cubes to the bowl and toss gently until every piece is coated. An even coat of the garlic oil is what turns the cubes crisp and golden all over as they cook.
Air fry until crunchy
Spread the cubes in a single layer in the basket. Air fry at 180°C for 6 min, shaking the basket once, until the cubes are golden and crunchy right through to the middle.
