Ingredients
- Leftover pizza slices2 slices
- Oregano seasoning1/4 tsp
- Chilli flakes1/4 tsp
- Olive oilfew drops
Method
Bring to room temp
Let the slices sit out for a few minutes so the centre loses its fridge chill. A cold middle reheats slowly, so the edges scorch before the centre is warm; a gentle start keeps the whole slice even.
Refresh the crust
Brush a few drops of olive oil along the crust edge to help it re-crisp and stop it drying out. The thin film carries heat into the crust and brings back the snap a microwave always leaves soft.
Lay flat, no stacking
Place the slices flat in a single layer so the base crisps and the cheese melts evenly. Never stack them, as the top slice traps steam and leaves the one below soft and soggy underneath.
Keep the heat low
Use a low, gentle temperature so the cheese re-melts slowly without scorching and the base crisps through. High heat browns the toppings long before the middle has warmed right up.
Air-fry to revive
Air-fry at 160°C for 5 min until the cheese is bubbling and the base is crisp underneath. Scatter over the oregano and chilli flakes just before serving so they stay fresh and fragrant.
