Ingredients

  • chicken breast200 g
  • yogurt2 tbsp
  • tikka masala paste2 tbsp
  • nacho chips150 g
  • cheese100 g
  • onion1 small
  • tomato1 small
  • mint chutney2 tbsp

Method

  1. Marinate the chicken

Cut the chicken into small pieces, then mix with the yogurt and tikka masala paste and rest for 15 minutes. The yogurt tenderises the meat and small pieces cook through fast and evenly for a topping.

  2. Air fry the tikka

Place the marinated chicken in the basket and air fry at 190°C for 10 minutes, shaking once, until the internal temperature reaches 74°C and the juices run clear. Cooking it fully now keeps the nachos crisp.

  3. Layer the nachos

Spread the nacho chips in a single layer in an air fryer safe dish, then scatter the onion, tomato, cooked chicken and cheese over the top. A single layer helps every chip stay crisp under the cheese.

  4. Load into the air fryer

Place the dish in the basket, keeping the toppings spread evenly so the cheese melts across the whole layer. An even spread means every chip gets a share rather than a soggy pile in the middle.

  5. Melt and crisp

Air fry at 180°C for 4 min until the cheese melts fully and the nachos stay crisp. Drizzle with the mint chutney just before serving so the chips do not soften under it.
