Ingredients
- bread4 slices
- butter2 tbsp softened
- garlic4 cloves minced
- coriander leaves1 tbsp chopped
- salta pinch
Method
Make the garlic butter
Mix the softened butter with the minced garlic, chopped coriander leaves and a pinch of salt until smooth and spreadable. Letting the butter come to room temperature first means it spreads in a thin, even film instead of tearing the bread.
Spread on bread
Spread the garlic butter evenly over each slice, taking it right to the edges and corners. The exposed rim is what crisps first in the air fryer, so buttering the edges well is what stops them drying out and turning hard.
Arrange in the basket
Place the slices in a single layer in the basket with the butter side facing up and a small gap between each. Keeping them flat and uncrowded lets the hot air toast the whole surface so the bread crisps rather than steams.
Air fry
Air-fry at 180°C for 8 min until the bread is golden and crisp at the edges and the butter has soaked through the middle. Keep an eye on it near the end, as thin slices tip from golden to too dark quickly at this heat.
